Dear Shelter Nova Scotia Friends,

 

You are invited to the 2024 Shelter Nova Scotia Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Monday, June 24th from 4pm to 6pm at the NSCC Ivany Campus located at  80 Mawiomi Place in Dartmouth.

 

The AGM is a wonderful opportunity to connect with our supporters, team members and Board as we share updates on our progress and discuss our future plans - including the expansion of The Hub, our drop-in service centre. It's also a chance for us to publicly acknowledge and thank our employees for their years of service and reflect on the important work they do in our community.

 

This year's guest speaker will be Lisa Mader, researcher with NSCC's Applied Research team, who will be discussing a new research partnership with Shelter Nova Scotia entitled “Men’s Social Spaces: Exploring Optimal Environments for Social Connection for Men Who Have Experienced Homelessness”  -  research that will help inform the supports and services available to the male-identified population we serve on a daily basis.
